MISTY COLE
ATTORNEY
Misty Cole spent her early legal career as a civil litigator handling civil rights, discrimination, construction, product liability, and premises liability cases for clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. As a solo practitioner in 2009, Misty transitioned into a family law practice to apply her breadth of experience to serve families going through divorce. With over 25 years of experience as a litigator, Misty brings a wealth of both legal and personal experience into her representation of each client. Misty is both an experienced high-conflict litigator and a collaborative law attorney. Recognizing the importance of the family and the individual, Misty strives to be the calm in the emotional storm, guiding her clients toward a more peaceful future. Misty uses her collaborative law skills to develop creative solutions for clients. While battle tested in the courtroom, Misty embraces the philosophy that families benefit from amicable resolutions, where possible, which reduces the financial and emotional burden that is often part of family law litigation.
Born and raised in rural Oklahoma, Misty attended Oklahoma State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Journalism. Misty received her Juris Doctor in 1999 from The University of Tulsa College of Law, graduating With Honors. Misty is licensed to practice law in Texas (2001), Oklahoma (1999), and Colorado (2009). She is also admitted to practice in several of the federal courts in Oklahoma and Texas.
